Paul Strange
A self-trained Hammond organist, Paul cut his musical teeth
with various pop, R&B and soul bands in South London,
before wading gleefully into Hammond jazz grit in the early
90s with his own quintet. His distinctive tonewheel sound
- with shades of Jimmy Smith, Brother Jack McDuff, Big John
Patton and Booker T - really cooks, but there's a delicate
touch to his Rhodes work. Horizon 22's co-founder, Paul also
co-writes H22's original compositions.
