Martin Slade

A powerful, yet economical guitarist, Martin has perfected a sparse, soulful Kenny Burrell/Wes Montgomery style, blended with blistering blues. Playing initially in student bands at the University of Ulster at Coleraine, he began developing his distinctive style while working with Espresso Jazz - a standards group - for six years. A co-founder of Horizon 22, Martin co-writes H22's Blue Note-themed and film soundtrack original material.
