Shura Greenberg

Shura's considerable straight-ahead jazz technique and groove affinity provides the backbone for H22's sound. A former student at Goldsmith's College, he studied privately with reknowned US bassist Curtis Lundy and Kenny Baldock. He has a substantial jazz pedigree, appearing as a bassist with pianist Jonathan Gee, vocalist Liz Fletcher, saxophonist Tony Kofi, drummer Brian Abrahams, and as a featured member of the Dorchester Hotel band he once sat in with Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers.
